First of all, I would like to say hello everyone !
After my long absence ive finally find some time to check on you guys, but ...
I have a little upgrade of my system ( graphic card ), so i formated it completely.
Alied Assault plays with no probs ( first mission is still so great ), than i installed the 1.11 patch and the Breaktrouh expansion. Whan i launch the BT it loads for few seconds and than :
Ive tried everything, save mode, reload the graphic drivers, turn off the antivirus, patching bla bla...
It is strange, becouse Allied Assault plays just fine, so i cant figure it out what seems to be a problem.
Any hints ?

Good to have you back.
Re problem, if your new graphics card is an nVidia one, here's how to fix:
Any nVidia driver newer than version 91.31 will allow you to play Allied Assault, but won't allow you to play Spearhead or Breakthrough.
Here's the download link for version 91.31: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.31.html
Remember to completely clean out your current driver before you install version 91.31.
If your card is ATI, or this didn't work, post back with some more details then we can look into it further.
Please advise if this fixed the prob..

Yes you were right. I have nVidia 7900 GS card and newest drivers ( Version: 84.63 ). First thing whan i come home, i will try to reload an older drivers and let you know if it works.

| 84.63 drivers should work anyway.. those are the drivers i rolled back to when i had the same issue, very strange, the problem didn't start occuring till the 91.37 drivers.. although this sounds like the same Nvidia profile problem.

Huston, we still got the situation here. 
I ve tried various drivers, but i have a strange issue .
With my 7900 GS card, i cannot instal any invidia drivers, older than 84.36 (date 05.07.06), becouse something like " cannot instal driver - no compatible hardware found bla bla blaaaa. "
It lets me install the 84.63 version and two older ones ( cant remeber version ).
This is really pisses me off !!!!
Still need you help Ted !

Just a thought, you probably could try alternate Nvidia drivers as this site or that one to see if that could fix the problem...

The drivers your trying are very old anyway.. there probably the first release versions of the 7900gs card.. the ones ted posted the link to are the latest verified working ones
heres the thing though the date for the later drivers is earlier than the ones you are putting in but the version number is later, very weird.
here is another link to the 91.31 drivers http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1415
uninstall your current drivers and reboot to safe mode, run this program, http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745#download
use it to clean out all nvidia display drivers (listed as Nvidia in the menu)
reboot and install the drivers from the link above..
just another thought, do you have your latest chipset drivers installed, the operating system is XP? breakthrough is updated to 2.4b? are you using a NOCD patch ?

Holy Mary, i finally make it, thanks to you guys !
The trick was that every time whan i removed graphic drivers, i cleaned up manualy all the registers of display drivers . But obviously some left overs remains in registers so i couldnt install another drivers. So the 91.31 drivers & driver cleaner was a winning combiantion for me. It looks so simple now, but i lost a lof of hair with that.
This driver also works just fine with newer games ( Gothic III ).
Thanks again for heads up gals, i wouldnt make it without you.

woohoo we train on wednesdays and sundays, at 8 youll have to get all the TS details too as we have to use that instead of Vent cause its busted AT the minute. Also would it be possible for you to be a reserve player for the Kingdom of war tourney like ted is, just in case we have players that cannot turn up
