As you all know im having some serious computer issues. mainly my mobo has died a death. ive borrowed one for the meantime but would like a little help on deciding which mobo to purchase.

im skint so price is everything here, and taking into account i will be buying a new grafics card too.

im stuck between choosing AMD and intel... the specs of both mobo's are listed below. can someone take a look and see which is the best buy for me. i will be using it for gaming so thats the only thing to take into account.

Would help if you could state model numbers, not just specs of the parts themselves, if there bundles you got a link,

purely on a non fanboy point of view, currently intel core 2 duo chips are superior to the amd equivelants. these chips would certainly be the way to go! motherboard would usually be down to brand preference and price,

"usually" IMHO
Gigabyte = stability
asus = Stability and usually more overclockable(if that floats your boat)
abit = about as stable as jelly most of the time but has plenty of overclocking features
MSI = Just plain dogs**t
Asrock = worse than MSI
EVGA = ive only ever had the pleasure of fitting one of there mainboards, it was there top of the line £250 motherboard, and i wish id fitted a £30 asrock instead.

you could probably get a giga-byte mainboard with p35 chipset 2 gig of corsair 800mhz ddr2 and the 2 ghz core 2 duo and a budget 8600 gt for £215

but dont forget you may need to factor in for a better power supply !!!
